November 21: It Is Finished

Dear Jesus, There are so many of the children of my heart who are going through some very difficult times right now. As I have called their names out to You, I have prayed for each specific problem. But I also want to pray for their spiritual strengthening. May You use this pain as a way to focus their lives on You, as a catalyst to create a longing inside of them to know more about who You are and how You think. If they read today's devotion from My Utmost, it is probably a bit confusing to many of them, because it is a different message than what we often hear. Different, but so absolutely true and so absolutely enlightening!!!

Help them to understand that in order to make sense of their present difficulties, they need to chew on Chamber's words until the meaning becomes digestable to their spirits: "Anything that belittles or obliterates the holiness of God by a false view of the love of God, is untrue to the revelation of God given by Jesus Christ." Help us all to become more like You every day, hating the wrong in man, and comprehending that "Calvary is the estimate of Your hatred."
