November 12: The Transfigured Life

Today's Reading: http://www.myutmost.org/11/1112/html.

Dear Jesus, Today I am feeling the urgency of the need for the children of my heart to get to know You better. Of course, that can best be done by spending some time in the manual, The Bible. A question was raised as I read Chambers query: "What difference has my salvation and sanctification made? For instance, can I stand in the light of I Corinthians 13, or do I have to shuffle?" Do all of these special people have enough knowledge of Your Word to be able to be bathed in its light? Do they even know that I Corinthians 13 gives a detailed description of what true love really is? How can they follow Your instructions for an abundant life if they don't know what those directions are? How can they ever begin to grasp the multi-dimensional aspects of Your personality if they haven't read the Old and New Testaments to understand Your character?

Lord, I know how busy they all are and that most of them believe that You are Almighty, but please reveal to them how vital it is that they make studying Your Word a priority. All of their other studies will go so much smoother, because by learning your Truth, they can have the mind of Christ. [I Corinthians 2:16] As a matter of fact, Jesus, I pray particularly that they will be able to set priorities in their lives according to the weight of importance that You put on things, not what society deems is important.

Also, Lord, I pray for their safety and Your protection on their lives. May You allow only the hardships that will make them stronger, protecting them from things that will cause them to rebel. Remind them that You will never allow anything to happen to them that they cannot handle in Your strength. And also, please remind them that they are truly loved!!!
