November 10: Fellowship of the Gospel

Dear Jesus, Why is it that we humans want so desperately to be in control? Is it our fear nature or is it the fact that we really want to be the god of our own lives? Whatever the reason, I pray that we will choose to let go!! Although letting You be in charge seems at first to be drifting aimlessly in the middle of the ocean, remind us repeatedly that You are at the helm and will pilot us safely to the one place that is best for us to be.
These children of my heart are all special people with natural talents and gifts that You have bestowed upon them. It is only natural that they will feel restless just waiting to put those gifts into action, but help them to be content to wait for your nudge before they break out of the starting gate. Please let them focus their energies right now on just getting to know You, so that they will be completely tuned to Your voice when You change the direction of their path. Just last night I discovered how You have been doing just that in one of their lives and I thank You SOOO much for it!!!
Also, Lord, I want us to join in prayer for one of the children of my heart who lives in France. That country is in turmoil and he is new in seeking You. Quickly teach him to recognize Your voice and let him be instrumental in bringing peace to that place.
