I'm reading the Bible this year out of Eugune Peterson's paraphrase, The Message. He writes some very interesting introductions to each chapter. In the intro to I and II Samuel, he lists the main characters, Hannah, Samuel, Saul and David, and states, "God is the country in which they live." I just LOVE that!!!

I hope someone shows this to Lindsey Jacobellis because yesterday she lost the Olympic Gold Medal in the Snowboardcross due to her showing off at the end of the race.

Today in My Utmost for His Highest: http://www.myutmost.org/02/0217.html I used to have a lot of problems with depression. I learned two things that helped a lot: (1) it is the ultimate in self-pity and (2) one must ask the Lord's help on every decision and CHOOSE to keep on living.
