April 19: Is It Not in the Least Likely?

Today in My Utmost for His Highest: http://www.myutmost.org/04/0419.html Wow! This lesson is so true!! In my thirties, I confidently told someone that I had walked so closely with the Lord for so long, that there was no chance that I would ever turn my back on Him. The much more mature lady wisely warned me to NEVER let that attitude live in me, or I would be more vulnerable to temptation. Was she ever right!!! Now I know that it is only by His grace that I am kept from temptation at any moment. Chambers gave wonderful advice when he said, "You have remained true to God under great and intense trials, now beware of the undercurrent."
