December 14: The Great Life

Dear Jesus, These words are nonsense to one who does not enjoy a personal relationship with You: "When I have obeyed God, the problems never come between me and God, they come as probes to keep the mind going on with amazement at the revelation of God. ...Any problem, and there are many, that is alongside me while I obey God, increases my ecstatic delight, because I know that my Father knows, and I am going to watch and see how He unravels this thing."

This reminds me so much of the mother of two of the children of my heart. Although only recently diagnosed with cancer and a given a poor prognosis, every time I speak to her and watch her with others, I feel nothing but peace radiating from her because she totally trusts in You. Even when she cries because of the pain that she knows her family is going through, I can still sense that amazing peace. Thank You for her trust and how much that teaches the rest of us. Please help that peace permeate all her family, even though they are afraid. Give us all the courage to have a perfect faith, which is not belief without proof, but trust without reservation!!
